Jeff Smith, Retired Executive, New York State Electric & Gas
Jeff Smith is a retired Executive from New York State Electric & Gas with over 30 years experience in the utility industry. Jeff also serves on several non-profit organizations in the area. He is a life-long resident of the Southern Tier and has lectured on energy policy and economic development throughout Upstate New York. Jeff has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and an MBA from Binghamton University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New York State.

- Guest speaker Jeff Smith commenced a presentation on economic development and the well-being of the Greater Binghamton area.Jeff offered his perspectives on recent challenges as well as benchmarks on economic performance. He provided recommendations to build on the positive momentum of various planning and support programs that are already underway. Jeffgave several examples of how past and present community leaders, volunteers and interns can help accelerate the progress. He also encouraged attendees to provide their perspectives on the following handouts:
