The panel discussed today’s batteries vs. the batteries of the future, the role of Binghamton University’s Smart Energy Facility in future research and development, NYSERDA’s focus in promoting new technology and future funding opportunities, the importance of NY BEST and their projects as well as a practical look at how today’s leading industries utilize energy storage. Navigant forecasts that stationary energy storage will grow to a $9 billion business by 2025 and will play a vital role in the future of our economy.
