September 4, 2014 – College Towns: Boston, Berkeley…Binghamton? Kevin Drumm

Speaker K. DrummSpeaker K. Drumm

Speaker
Kevin E. Drumm, President, SUNY Broome Community College

Biography
Dr. Drumm became the seventh president of SUNY Broome in February of 2010, after serving six years as president of the Northern Wyoming Community College District. His challenges were to settle a long history of strained labor relations, upgrade an aging physical plant for one of the oldest community colleges in New York State, and guide the college through a 20% cut in state funding which remains a challenge to this day. He hails from a small Western Massachusetts mill town not far from Albany, which is surrounded by not only renowned college towns but also elite private academies.
